Lambert Family Shoot | Bay Area Family Photography

I left this shoot with a new boyfriend and oooooh he is sweet!
I think my hubby was even a little jealous when I told him about Ty.
Yes, we definitely fell in love on this shoot, even shared "i love you's" as we parted ways.
I miss him already! ;)
Ty is this handsome little guy and Tessa is his little sister, already 13 months!
They both have this striking strawberry-blond hair and delicate little features.
Really beautiful children.
I felt lucky that Ty shared some love with me that day. I just love how there is always, always room for more love.
Since I last had a shoot with them, their little angel girl, Tessa was born.
I hadn't seen her since she was a newbie and now she's walking!
It was great to catch up with the Lambert's!
Enjoy a little sneak peek from our shoot together.

Baby Colin | 3 months old | Bay Area Children's Photography

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet little boy, Colin.
He's just 3 weeks younger than my Nathan.
I loved photographing his big smile and capturing this moment in his life.
It seems so fleeting--I know it feels that way for me, especially as I have another little one running around the house. It all goes so fast. Colin is well into his 4th month by now.
I'll get to see him again at 6 months and awe at how much he's grown!

I think my favorite of all the shots is this 1st one. It's such an adjustment for the 1st child to have a sibling.
I've found, and I see in this photo, that no matter how challenging it may be, underneath it all is such a sweet, genuine love.
It's so touching.
He's a lucky little guy to have Lauren as his big sis.

Varela Family Shoot | Santa Clara Photography

Such a beautiful spot, Santa Clara University.
It holds a soft spot in my heart because I met Brad there.
Come to find out this is where Alane and Michael met too; and they made this beautiful boy, Evan!
It was fun to go back on campus and photograph this family.
They are so sweet and easy going, such a pleasure to spend time with :)
Evan just learned to walk so he was showing off! :)
Such a cutie!!

Hansen Family Maternity Shoot | Bay Area Photography

This beautiful lady is a dear friend of mine, Hsiaolei Parks.
You've seen her on the blog with her cute family many times and I'm so grateful to be the person who photographs the different stages and moments they experience.
This winter we did a holiday shoot and she was newly pregnant. Look at her now!
She's almost there, due in three weeks!
I feel like another member of my own family is about to be born.
I'm so excited to meet the little girl in that beautiful belly.

For now, we can just admire her beauty in pregnancy.
And wait for a family of three to become four.

Miss Maddy | Los Gatos Children's Photography

It's been 15 months since sweet Madalyn was born.
I was there to shoot her new-babyness and it just astonishes me how fast time flies!
She is so precious and so curious.
These are a few of my favorite photos of our shoot together this spring.
Catching bubbles.

Maddy's mom is a wonderful woman.
It's so easy to be around her and talk with her.
Thanks to the Prior-Hanson family for a lovely hour in the park.

Borbons Family Maternity Shoot | Bay Area Photography

Ahh, it's so nice to be back to work! :)
Look at this beautiful mama in a beautiful orchard.
I loved doing this shoot.
It was the perfect shoot to get me going again after having a second child of my own.
We spent an hour walking through the orchard and laughing with adorable little Brooklynn. She's such a ham and reminded me of my Ava. Something about her spirit. I just loved her.
And I could totally appreciate the space and time their little family is in. Waiting to meet another miracle.
Nicole, Bret, and Brooklynn are welcoming Hailey into their lives in late May. She's a lucky girl coming into this sweet family. I can't wait to meet her.

He's here! | Newborn Photography | Los Gatos, CA

January 11, 2012, 10:20pm, Nathan James entered into our world.
What a gift, such a blessing that I get to be mama to this boy.
I'm amazed, in awe and so honored.
He's here!

I've spent the last 8 weeks getting to know this mellow little man and witnessing love bloom bigger in all of us. And to think, I was so scared to have boy--scared that I wouldn't be able to love him as much as I love Ava, scared that I wouldn't feel as connected. I had many lessons to learn ahead of me and I've already learned some of them, one of the biggest being that I can't even fathom the miracles that happen in my life. All the greatness that I could imagine doesn't come close to measuring up to the greatness that  some magnificent power in the universe gives me. I'm left in overwhelm with feelings of love and gratitude. And after that I'm reminded to trust.--just trust that it will be good. Many have said they feel Nathan is an old soul and I believe it. A happy old soul :) He smiled when he met Ava. I almost burst into tears. How special. Though this adjustment has been really tough on her, she truly loves him I can see that in her gentleness toward him. She can't pronounce "th" yet, so while we call him Nathan, she calls him "Nafan" and I love that.

Thank you to all that have offered love and support in these past 8 weeks.
Whether it be food, clothes, a visit, a listening ear for the wonderment, or tears during the tougher times, or all the enthusiasm shared, even on Facebook, and for the patience in waiting to hear back from me, none of it has gone unnoticed or unappreciated.
I'm so blessed to be so supported.
Thank you!
